Choosing the right fountain pen

This Pelikan Junior Fountain Pen suits younger or first-time fountain pen users who benefit from a grip section that teaches correct finger placement, and specifically suits right-handed writers. If you’re shopping for an experienced writer who wants a standard adult-grip pen instead, our wider fountain pen range has other brands to choose from.

Who it is for

This pen suits school-age children learning to write with a fountain pen for the first time, and parents or teachers looking for a pen designed around proper grip habits rather than a standard adult pen scaled down. The included cartridges also make it a ready-to-use gift.

Care and use

Store the pen upright when not in use and replace the cap fully to stop the nib drying out. When a cartridge runs low, swap it for a new one from our Inks range rather than letting the pen run dry mid-use, since a dry nib is harder to get flowing smoothly again.
